
A new #IDDtalks Chapter, carried out by the Institute for Digital Development of Latin America and the Caribbean – IDD LAC, which was focused on learning first-hand the importance of generating citizen empowerment and technological appropriation through the promotion of technological volunteering and collaboration between different organizations and public entities.
Thursday 10th March, 2022. A new #IDDTalks episode, the space created by the Institute for Digital Development of Latin America and the Caribbean, IDD LAC, to promote issues related to the Digital Ecosystem. the space created by the Digital Development Institute for Latin America and the Caribbean, to promote issues related to the Digital Ecosystem. Andrés Piazza and Andrés Sastre, (Directors of the IDD LAC) received Yolanda Rueda, Founder and current president of Fundación Cibervoluntarios, to talk about the Foundation’s work in ensuring that all people have same opportunities to access, know and use technologies as a means to improve any aspect of their lives and their environment, and promote the use and knowledge of technology by citizens to guarantee Human Rights. For this purpose, terms such as Technological Volunteering and Cooperation between different organizations and entities, take on a fundamental role.
The talk is also part of the recent Mou between IDD LAC and Cibervoluntarios, with which both entities seek to strengthen the digital ecosystem of Latin America and the Caribbean through digital literacy plans and awareness actions such as conferences, seminars and workshops, and the exchange of information, among other activities.
